Saw a board outside a church, said neglect ruins friendship,
Thought I’d write a letter straight away,
I wonder how your keeping, Jenny must be talking,
Have you done, the painting for your wall,
I took a long vacation, I’m living by the sea,
Sometimes I stop awhile, I wonder where you are.

Down here there’s a harbour, where I’ve got an occupation,
Selling ice cream, watching children play,
Every days a holiday, even if it’s raining,
I’m pleased I’m not a slot machine at times,
Words upon an ocean, waves upon a page,
Sometimes I stop awhile, I think of us and smile.

Sitting in me bedroom, gingers looking lonely,
Now he’s pulling claw marks on the door,
Out there in the distance, I can see an ocean linear,
Must have dropped its anchor, till the dawn,
I’ll post this in the morning, and leave you now tonight,
